Default GURPS Character Sheets you can fill out and save?

Where can I get standard GURPS character sheets that I can fill out on my computer and save as documents?

I've found "fillable pdf"s online, but text added to them doesn't save with them.

I use GCA 4. You can print the fioles directly from within the proghram to pdf files in several different layouts.

That's not a problem with the PDF: that's a software issue. What program are you using to fill them out? The latest versions of Adobe Acrobat and Foxit Reader should both save form data.

Mac or PC? Of you're on a Mac and using Preview, Preview is Hit or Miss on saving fill-in PDFs depending on what version.

I can't get GCA to run, if you want my CD, PM me and I'll mail it to you. I switched to GURPS Character Sheet, the UI feels old school Java but it works great, IMO.

These fillable PDFs should save just fine (in fact, if they don't please let me know.)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but no, they don't.

I can alter and save them, but then when I reload them, the changes I made are gone and the document can no longer be altered.

Thanks for your patience with what is no doubt a dumb mistake on my part!

I'm using a PC. The documents are getting opened in my web browser.

That may be your answer :)

Try actually downloading the PDF to your computer's hard drive, and opening it with any PDF Reader, you should be able to save as normal. Adobe's official Reader is free, but make sure you uncheck the Optional Offers before installing (unless you actually want them).

EDIT: To add, a lot of people seem to like Foxit Reader as well, which is similarly free.

Definitely agreed -- I find the basic GURPS character sheet an elegant, functional design.

You bet. I originally added the form fields for my own selfish needs, but always happy to share. Glad you got 'em working!
