Default Indiegogo: Ogre Miniatures Set 3 - Doppelsoldner and Ogre Mark VI

Thanks to the support of the Ogre community, we've produced two sets of plastic Ogre miniatures, making it easy for players to collect dozens – hundreds! – of miniatures at a reasonable price.

Now, with your help, we will take two of the harder-to-find metal miniatures and upgrade them to plastic, making it easier for everyone to add these cybertanks to their Ogre Miniatures collections.

NOTE: The set includes only the Doppelsoldner and Ogre MKVI plastic miniatures. All other miniatures shown are in Set 1 and Set 2. Both of these sets are in the Ogre Battle Box, available at Warehouse 23 and as a part of this project.

Now funding at Indiegogo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/o...-3/x/1262775#/

Just out of curiosity, can you share why you guys decided to go with Indiegogo this time around instead of Kickstarter?

From the project FAQ:

Why Indiegogo?
As we expand our crowdfunding efforts, we are exploring new tools so that we can give our various games regular, reliable support. We have chosen Indiegogo as the home for this and future Ogre projects. Please visit ogre.sjgames.com to learn more about the Ogre game.

If you don't want to engage with the campaign, that's your call, but we're going to keep talking to the people who do.

I found that FAQ after I had backed it, thanks!

For right now I'm following. My money situation is still tight, but I hope to have freed up a substantial amount before this project closes.

You can sell a lot of plasma in three weeks...

I mean, you shouldn't. But you could.

I don't give money to indiegogo, they don't allow charge backs for failed or fraudulent projects. While I know and respect SJG and know they won't do that, I won't support a crowdfunding site that only cares about money, and not the customers.

Kickstarter isn't much better, but they don't actually accept the money, so it is different.

I do hope to see them on sale on the store some day.

Phil,

Can you expand on why you chose Indegogo for this and future Ogre projects? Especially since it sounds like you're using it for Ogre but not for other projects. I'm curious as to how it serves Ogre projects better but not necessarily others. In the meantime, I'll go check it out, I don't remember if I've ever used Indegogo at all or not...

I've used Indiegogo before with known companies, and certainly know SJG.

Happily backing this one — and then on to the Mk.Is and IIs!!!

The other consideration: Is there going to be a backerkit, and/or are there plans for an overprint to put on W23?

(Edit: The rumors that Indiegogo allows the selection of 'multiple perks' also works. I'm probably going to end up going after far more than 3 sets)
