Somehow I doubt that Her Britainnic Majesty claims descent from Satan.

As for Wotan, back then the Wittanagemot, chose from what Scots call the "Derbfine", messing things up a little in that department. That is a precedent for the seventeenth century reclamation of Parliamentary Surpremacy in the incident of the Glorious Coup.

In any event, the OFFICE of Her Britannic Majesty does not descend from either Wotan or Satan as it did not come to be until Britain had declared itself independent of the former and at war with the later, by virtue of naming her Defender of the Faith. The bloodline has gone through so many twists and turns that who can say.

A couple of things it does not own:

Royalty DOESN'T own the right to enter a poor man's cot, even though rain and snow may enter.

Royalty does not own the right to turn back the tide even though it rules the waves.

Her predecessors the Plantagenets, however, did. It's related to Henry II describing his sons as "the Devil's brood", but derives from the Black Legend of Anjou - specifically, that the Counts of Anjou (including Henry II's father) were descended from a marriage between Count Fulk and the devil's daughter... it was at least a somewhat self aware excuse for being ambitious, arrogant and foul tempered...

Silmarils: Now you are being silly.

A private strike team of eagles: Only Manwe owns that.

Two pet ravens, and two pet wolves: I think one-eye qualifies as royalty.

Chessmen carved by Margeret the Adroit

A white gyrfalcon

A Persian Cheetah (if he is an oriental monarch)

Well, the Silmarils originally were owned by royalty, i.e. Feanor and his sons. But Maedhros waived their claim to kingship over the Noldor, transferring the crown to Fingolfin (albeit some of his brothers privately resented this). But the ownership of the Silmarils didn't transfer with the crown. Then the sons of Feanor found that their own claim of ownership on the gems had been voided by God, so that claim too was null.

Actually, it's not clear that anyone owns the Silmarils after the First Age, or that anyone can own them.

One is in the sky, one in the fiery depths, and one in the ocean.

The first edition of every book published in the kingdom, with hand tooled leather binding, gold dye etched titles, and illuminated writting.

A wonderful family legend for the billion or so people who are descended from the Plantagenets (basically anyone with any European ancestry). They ruled for a long time and were fairly busy when it came to producing children (legitimate or otherwise). Of course, quite a few less of them can prove ancestry, but that is because of poor record keeping over the centuries.

I wonder if genetic analysis may be able to help with that.

Not really. The same people who are descended from the Plantagenets are also descended from most of the other people in Europe at the time. The genes have been too thoroughly shuffled over the generations.

So? Most of the Kings then were children of Old Scratch.
