Bow pistol whip
Is this a thing? Are there rules for this anywhere? [I'm talking about smacking someone with a longbow as a club or staff.]

Re: Bow pistol whip
Bow-Fencer is a scout power-up in DF 11 that makes this effective and reliable.
Realistically a bow is a fragile improvised short-staff or baton and will likely break when abused in this way. |

Re: Bow pistol whip
I suppose a more realistic use would be as a fist load, right?
I also suppose that small brass knuckles attached to the grip wouldn't be impossible if not necessarily optimal.

Re: Bow pistol whip
I'd suggest that, if unstrung, you could use the bow as a staff at some small penalty ... if strung, expect something to break.

Realistically you just draw your hanger and drop the bow.

Re: Bow pistol whip
Most archers seem to have taken a sidearm along for hand fighting that in any event.
