Another Wandering Monster Question
I was fighting a Level 6 Lawyer (with plenty to beat him), when a Wandering Monster/Wight Brothers was played against me. I couldn't win, and chose to run from the Wight Brothers first (success) and then the Lawyer (fail). How does this resolve?

You escaped the bad stuff from the Wight Brothers and now must suffer the bad stuff of the lawyer.

Eben forgot that the Wight Brothers have an even if you escape clause.
Here is the correct order of events starting with the point you admit loss of the combat and assuming that you are level 4 or higher and not a Thief:
