Default Lost Eden, or Steve Jackson's surprise legacy

Hi all,

I recently discovered that Lost Eden, an old French adventure game by Cryo, which left quite an impression on me back then, was co-written by Steve. All those years and I had no idea. I do think it's the right Steve Jackson, it's on his Wikipedia page. Is there any information, like an interview or something, on how Steve ended up working with Cryo? There's got to be a mighty story there but googling around turned nothing up.

I hope this is the right forum to ask, if not please feel free to move this post. :)

EDIT: Wrong Steve Jackson. Thanks to stefanj and Buzzardo for pointing it out and sorry for the noise!

Could this possibly have actually been the work of the British Steve Jackson?

Eyup.

Here's the wiki page in question.

Note the line that reads: "Not to be confused with Steve Jackson (American game designer)." This web site belongs to the company founded by the American Steve Jackson.

Ha! D'oh. Good catch, thanks. I should have been more careful, I did know about the British homonym.

Mods, please feel free to can this thread to cut on the noise. Sorry for the trouble. :)

It happens. Indeed, I seem to recall at least one book was written by American Steve Jackson and credited to British Steve Jackson.
