On the Manor link? It works for me on both mobile and home computer.

Actually on all the links now, including the ones I've looked at in the past

Using a cellphone

I see the Gaming Ballistic top of screen title bar and the rest is textured gold blob

I updated my blog look a bit, and it's more graphically intense. I'll tone down the mobile version and see if that's the problem. Have you reqeusted both the desktop and mobile flavors of the site with your phone?

I get the same result as before requesting mobile site

When I requested the desktop site on phone it displayed properly with the gold texture only showing at edges of the screen, but when I try to scroll or zoom the gold texture oveays on top of the rest of the page (almost as if layers are getting messed up?)

Using a Samsung Galaxy Nexus Verizon model using whatever browser it came with (blue globe icon if that helps)

Latest article on grappling, this time for Swords and Wizardry, got favorably reviewed!

Of course, if it works for S&W, it can be fairly easily inserted into nearly any D&D-flavored game. Besides, Peter was my co-author, so it's like crunchy AND simple.

"I think this system is what we have been needing for a simple mechanic for grappling, that makes grappling an option players would choose. Various options and outcomes that are realistic in grappling are discussed and addressed. While not perfect, I can’t think of how else to handle it without building yet another new subsystem just for grappling. This is simple enough that it can easily be implemented at your next session. I know that I will use it, if I need to resolve a grappling issue"

The money quote from a review of Manor #8, with Peter Dell'Orto and my grappling article in it (for the OSR and with small mods, any D&D game).

We journey from one place to another, killing no one, and do a lot of roleplaying. Our new addition, a bard, strives to be the Fromer's of the Majestic Wilderlands. Basically, a Weekend at Bryny's.

We make friends with the local Sheriff, who aids our cause. We try the nice way of searching for the little girl, Maud, which eventually does not work, this time through no fault of our own. A very long and dangerous set of combats ensue, we rescue the girl . . . and one of our party pays the ultimate price.

The Violent Resolution will run away when faced with a superior foe!

Napoleon and Thulsa Doom both had pithy things to say about strength of spirit. And morale is one of the more important factors in a fight - the "Contest of Wills," the Eye of the Tiger, Esprit de Combat.

How do the games quantify an elusive notion that, nonetheless, Napoleon felt was three times as important as physical prowess and material quality?
