Re: Online 4e Character Archive
Thank you, I am glad you like it. I agree that "Beasts" (moststers) should be a part of the archive. I will add Beasts in a couple of weeks.

Re: Online 4e Character Archive
Black text on white background, please. Light characters on dark backgrounds float but because they have different thickness, they float at different heights, making the text look lumpy. Lumpy text is hard to read.

Re: Online 4e Character Archive
Interesting idea. Yours is the first complaint I've gotten about the color scheme, although it may just be the only complaint vocalized thus far. I would certainly be willing to make some changes, but I'm curious ... what browser you use? I've never heard of lumpy text before, nor do I see the symptoms you are speaking of. I'm using Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 7, Safari 4, and Firefox 3.5 on Mac and PC.

Re: Online 4e Character Archive
Well I appreciate the concern. If I get further complaints on the color scheme I will change it. I don't feel like it's worth the effort to change the colors unless I get further complaints from those who may not have the specific, acute vision that you do. If I change it to black text on white I may get other people complaining, as no web design will make 100% of the people happy. I'll keep this issue under consideration.
UPDATE. There is a way for each user to have their own theme. A user with an account can choose a white theme if that is what they want. Maybe this will entice you to login to and use the site now? Maybe not. :-) But the option is available for those with a dislike of darker themes. Last edited by Stoob; 02-25-2010 at 05:42 PM. Reason: Woo |

Re: Online 4e Character Archive
Nightstrike is awesome! thanks.
As far as search, search is re-indexed once per hour. She'll be available via "Search" soon. BTW, consider creating an account, so you can edit the characters you upload if you make a mistake. Last edited by Stoob; 02-27-2010 at 02:36 AM. |

Re: Online 4e Character Archive
TheThing, please post these neat Dungeon characters when you get a minute. I'd post them myself but I don't know how many points they are nor have the Char Sheets, GCA files, etc. Thanks.

Re: Online 4e Character Archive
Okay, I've gotten to play with it a bit, and the Browse Characters desperately needs a "Sort By" field. The chars seem to be unsorted -- either random, or maybe in the order they were uploaded. As a user, I would expect them to be sorted alphabetically by default, but with the option to sort by TL or point value.
