Default Ask for Help (Table Top Episode vs. Rule Book)

Hi All,

Munchkin Zombie Question:

I noticed in Will Wheaton's Table Top review on YouTube...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6oMBSiL7Zs

that when a player asked for help, they weren't using their combat strength (level, items, and powers). Instead, they were just added cards from their hand. Is that an alternate rule or house rule?

The rule book that comes with Munchkin Zombie says the helper add his combat strength when assisting.

Thanks in advance for clearing this up,

Ben

The Tabletop episode was incorrect (or let's be charitable and say unclear). Follow the rules as written.

I've got to say that at no point does Wil ever say that you don't add your combat level. They even do it in the very first encounter of the video. Granted, he was definitely unclear about it.

The purpose of Table Top is to showcase games, not teach them. They've said as much.
