I figured it out. The original authors of GURPS Prime Directive data file did not add to
Code:
mods(Equipment)
Melee Quality and Sword Quality. so it should look like this:
Code:
mods(Equipment, Melee Quality, Sword Class Quality)
Over the years I have found errors in this file. I am not knocking the original authors. For one thing, I didn't know until today that a knife should have a minst of 5. It's not readily apparent. I don't think they knew either. If I had been the original author, I would have screwed it up.

I am pretty sure Armin and Eric and Phoenix Author Tom Edwards are too busy to come up with a course. It would be useful!

I beleive this was one of mine, so I apologize. It was one of the first files I created. It was quite a learning experience. Frankly I'm still learning.

So am I. I came up with a way create equipment templates. Gear lists for characters. Great for Monster Hunters, Commandos, and Star Fleet personnel. Saves time.
