RPK brings this up again in MH1 and expresses the same thing with other words so that the meaning does become clear even if this statement seemed confusing.

Exactly. With due respect to non-native speakers, our house style favors casual American English. That isn't the same as international English or Boolean. Sorry.

I may be a non-native English speaker, but I've never had an issue with understanding the meaning of any GURPS book. The same can not be said of other companies. Other companies might try to use a more "international" English, but they often trip their own feet, and write in dumbed down English, and then use convoluted wordings for simple things, just because the language they write in is not the right tool for the task at hand.

I like that SJGames considers it's readers smart people, and thus writes for smart people (Smart here meaning capable of some critical though and understanding, no disrespect intended for anyone, no pejorative connotations at all).
