I am playing with the Faster Play Rules. Here is the sequence:

1. I draw a Portal card when I Listen At The Door, I play it immediately.
2. I Look For Trouble.
3. After the combat, can I play a Portal card from my hand?

If step 1 change to:

1. I draw a Portal card when Kick Open The Door.

Can I play a Portal card in step 3?

Thanks.

You may not play a second Portal card in either of the circumstances you describe.

You cannot look for trouble until after you kick open the door.

I thought the rules said you could play a portal anytime on your turn that you're not in combat? I don't recall seeing a limit either. We've had multiple portals go off in one turn during my games before.

Well, multiple Portals can "go off" I think, if multiple Portals are drawn and played immediately, but you just can't play a Portal from your hand if you've already played one that turn. The Rules quoted in the first post make that clear.

Interesting, somehow I've glossed over that part of the sentence every time I've read it, including right before I posted. Dually noted.

I think, there’s a way to play 2 portal cards in the same turn. It works like this:
- you play a portal from your hand at the very beginning of your turn, just before knocking out the door.
- afterwards if you draw a portal knocking out the door it would be the second portal card you play this turn.

If you draw a portal when you are kicking open the door, that portal never goes into your hand, so it is not being played from your hand.
As Mister Ed was explaining, multiple portal cards can be played on the same turn, but only one can come from your hand.

Yes. And you cannot play one from your hand after you opened one kicking open the door.

This is incorrect.
