Onset on non-attack powers
I'm wanting to build a trait where a triggered advantage doesn't go into effect instantly upon being triggered but takes an hour to go into effect. (which would be a -20% Onset Limitation)
Onset is normally an attack limitation. I'm just wondering if it is allowable to apply it to non-attack traits? |

Re: Onset on non-attack powers
Just which advantage is this? It may be viable for some things, but not others.

Re: Onset on non-attack powers
The character in question has two disadvantages with a medication mitigator (impulsive and short attention span... @9 w/out and @15 w/ medication) and we're thinking of making him have a greater clarity of thought when on his medication... this would be a daily trigger and I think an onset (to indicate that it takes some time for the IQ to ramp up... going to hand wave it so that it goes to +1 at 30 minutes and +2 at 60). The trait would look like this one below...
IQ +2 (Onset: 1 hour, -20%; Trigger: Daily dose of Medication, -20%) [24] Valid? |

Re: Onset on non-attack powers
I don't see why not. I mean, it's fairly easy for somebody to prevent said dose of medication, so...

Re: Onset on non-attack powers
Onset is canonical for non attack powers: see the Healing Drug on Powers, p 151. So you're doing it right.
