I’m fine with the armor having “evocative” names. And maybe having a section like the “other names for weapons” from Advanced Melee.

But “cloth” isn’t evocative to me, and “leather” only evokes bad Hollywood costumes for me. One of those should probably become something like “gambeson”.

I’d also be tempted to replace “half plate” with “brigantine” or “coat of plates”. (With the other names being listed as alternatives.)
