Default Munchkin Wonderland

I saw in the Munchkin News area that Munchkin Wonderland is coming.

It is described as a "companion to Munchkin Treasure Hunt that is also playable on its own".

My kids like Munchkin Treasure hunt, and I'm all for a themed expansion to it, but I'm not clear from the product page whether there is any way to combine the two, or if they are both simply intended as stand-alone games. What is meant by "companion"? The phrase "also playable on its own" strongly implies that the two can be combined somehow, but I just wanted to confirm that.

Wonderland is a game unto itself, just like Treasure Hunt -- it's like Munchkin and Munchkin Oz. Wonderland can be mixed with Treasure Hunt if you want -- the mechanics are almost identical -- if you really want a longer game, but it's designed to be played on its own.

Got it. Thanks!

Is there any overlap in the cards they contain, or are all the cards in Wonderland new ones? The sample cards pictured on the product page look like they contain some that are duplicates of cards from Treasure Hunt, but it is hard to be sure.

There are some repeated effects (hard not to do when the game is that simple), but the cards themselves are new.

Cool. I don't mind some cards that DO the same thing, not in a game like this. SO long as the cards are distinguished in some other way.

This is looking like something that will at LEAST go on somebody's wish list, if I can resist just buying whenever I see it.
