One with the Tao
For the GURPS world my stepbrother and I are planning some campaigns in, there's a particularly wise and sage-like race, which we are sort-of comparing to elves. My stepbrother wants to have the 'one with the Tao' ability, but the way that it works doesn't really suit what we were planning to do.
So I proposed that we make 'one with the Tao' a skill. When performing rather mundane tasks, the player could roll against this skill before doing his normal skill roll. If he succeeded, he would get a bonus on the skill roll for the task. What do you think? |

Yeah, that's what we were looking at originally, but that wasn't really the right advantage for this situation.
