Possible reality shard [Infinite Worlds/Madness Dossier]

I saw an article on the Starving of Saqqara today, and it seems like it would be a natural reality shard. It is unclear whether it is ancient or a modern hoax. It doesn't fit into the archeological timeline, it has an unreadable inscription on it, and it looks rather creepy. I thought I'd share, and ask if anyone has any inspirations for uses for this thing or other possible reality shards.

Reminds me of the starving children hidden under the cloak of the Spirit of Christmas Future often used in A Christmas Carol.
