They’re blunt instruments which are specific to characters who happen to take them. Fine in themselves, but not part of a general rule for boredom.

I probably need boredom rules for Five Earths (see .sig), as boredom is explicitly a problem for enchanters (creating magic items is much harder, sometimes impossible, if you're bored and/or frustrated, or otherwise not in a sufficiently creative/artistic mood). If I actually ran a game in that setting, it would most likely need to be role-played instead of roll-played, which can be annoying for some players.
