Hall of Judgment for the DFRPG: Now LIVE!
Gaming Ballistic is THRILLED to be the first third-party vendor to be granted a license to produce material for the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game (Powered by GURPS) from Steve Jackson Games.
This product directly supports the excellent DFRPG Boxed Set. It provides a mini-setting and adventure, in full color, bookmarked and layered for the PDF, and with a print copy available for backers who wish a high-quality tangible reward. This project is now on Kickstarter Hall of Judgment (for the Dungeon Fantasy RPG)

We hit halfway there in THREE HOURS. This is, as was said in the very-not-Norse 300, "A good start."

I checked the page count for this product and don't want to put my printer through 80 black and white pages, especially when the actual product comes in color. It's becoming difficult to allocate my limited funds right now to all the deserving game products on my short list. I guess that is a good dilemma to have. Congratulations to Gaming Ballistic on their current product momentum. |

Re: Hall of Judgment for the DFRPG: Now LIVE!
I added a post to the RPGnet forum for RPG kickstarter projects with a link to the project. You might want to consider a post there as well as you can pretty it up if you have an account there.
Congrats by the way. Already backed.

Re: Hall of Judgment for the DFRPG: Now LIVE!
Indeed! We are trending at roughly 10% per hour, and that will probably continue until the sun sets on the west coast, so to speak. We've slowed down a bit since the initial flurry, but things are looking very good.
For amusement value, check out the current prediction of $122,000 on the tracker on Kickstarter. The algorithms used to look at Kickstarter performance are absolutely ripe for machine learning/predictive analysis. There are probably maybe four or five shapes/effects that one could bin into: 1) Classic U-shape. Rate spikes on Day 1-3, plateaus, and then spikes again the last 3-4 days. The plateau is long, painful, and seemingly unlrelated to length. 2) Burn-out. An initial spike, and then nothing. 3) Steady State. The rate remains more or less constant per day. 4) The Wheaton Effect. This is more of a disruptor than a shape. When Wil used to review games under Kickstarter, or mention them, it didn't take many of his millions of followers to launch a KS into the stratosphere. ANY wide-spread PR boost can have this one. A good program would take a look at the pledge rates and not get too crazy, but take its best guess at which of the above is the *second most conservative* and apply that (Assuming that every Kickstarter is going to have a strong first day and then die is overly pessimistic. Assuming that a "10% per hour!" rate will continue for 600 hours and therefore raise 6000% funding is, as they say, irrationally exuberant.) For THIS Kickstarter, I have a mental model of what I think will happen.I hate to jinx things by sayign what it is. Doug
