I'm excited, and I haven't even played Chez Geek yet. It's next on my list, and I've got a line of people ready for me to demo it at my FLGS. I LOVE The Guild, and the Munchkin booster has some of my favorite cards. Munchkin 8 which was helmed by Andrew Hackard is also a favorite, so Chez Guild is very promising to me.

Thanks for the clarification, Phil!

So at leat we know the plan is that it should be similar enough to the current Chez games perhaps with some additional mechanic but would likely be blendable with the other Chez games with little extra work. This will go over well at the conventions next year.

BGG has this listed with a 2013 release date. I was wondering if this is still true because not a lot has been said about it.

Since BGG is community edited info, it's likely because the game page here says "Coming 2013". I'd expect we'd hear more here when it's closer to shipping, but I probably wouldn't expect much else until it's ready.

Right. I was just wondering if it too had been affected by Ogre and pushed back or if it managed to maintain its originally planned release.

It's very, very delayed. I would not expect it this year; other work (not just Ogre) has jumped in front of it.

I can't wait until this shows back up on the New And Upcoming Releases page. It feels like it's been too long since a new Chez.
