Lifting Capacity
Perhaps I keep missing it. Is there coverage for general lifting strength for PC's? If so any help would be much appreciated.

Maximum human potential = Captain America Captain America = 800#, according to the old Marvel Superheroes RPG. 5 Forces = 800# ETA: A quick scan of the pdf of the core rules doesn't show anything relevant for lift, weight, or pound. It's a cinematic game; they can lift as much as they need to. Last edited by thorr-kan; 09-25-2020 at 04:51 PM. |

Re: Lifting Capacity
Just to prove I'm blind, references from Archangel Beth, via the In Nomine List:
"Page 35 gives general ranges, and you can then probably go extrapolate to GURPS if you really need fiddly down-to-the-point-per-pound equations. Page 41 suggests when to roll at all -- err on the side of cinematic, probably. Page 49's example suggests that Strength of 10 is enough to lift a reasonably muscled human (a bouncer). Page 78 gives distance-thrown based on Strength, and *that* has calculations based on the weight of the object, so if you want to get fiddly without pulling out GURPS IN and making some conversions, that's probably where to start. (On the principle of KINS, this is inadvisable unless you and everyone else at the table find fiddly math to be fun. In which case, please fiddle away! O:D) (But also, if you and your group like fiddly, I'd start fiddling with GURPS IN. O;> ) Please feel free to forward this back to the forums! --Beth" |
