I have the second version and the one from Fantasy Flight.

I'm excited and nervous about this.

Can't wait to hear more. Really interested to know what direction you'll take the game (particularly if you'll be going with themed decks or if you'll run with the 1 shared deck)

What ever happened to this game? Did the deal fall through? Is it still happening but delayed?

A post on BGG from Chris Nelson on March 1 reads:

"It's in the works! That is a project still planned for this year, just taking more time than expected."

They also updated their newsletter saying that Wiz War would be their next going to Kickstarter possibly launching before summer.

There are no themed decks. This edition backs away very decisively from the collectible-card-game mechanics and gets back to what it originally was - a very vicious boardgame :)

And yes, it's moving forward again.

Glad to hear this. Am looking forward to the kickstarter of this game and will back it faster than I did the Batman Munchkin KS, if that's even possible lol.
