Default Trap and DxM cards

Do I get a DxM card even if a trap has no effect on me because of an item (or something) or do I have to necessarily fulfil the "To dodge" requirements?

- If I fail to dodge the Flame Trap, the items I have to lose are dropped or discarded?
- Can I dodge the Rat Trap with Malfunction! or Duck!?

If a trap doesn’t affect you (because you were immune, because you had a good item, because you dodged, whatever), you may immediately draw a DxM card.

You may not use potions, scrolls, etc., to get away from traps unless they specifically mention traps. If a Curse is played after a Trap card comes up, the Trap is resolved first and then the Curse.
That is from the rules. Should answer your questions.

It just came through my mind...if I use Malfunction! or Duck! to avoid a trap do I still get a DxM card??

If I use Duck! for a trap then who gets the DxM card, the player who used Duck! or the one who is affected instead?

Malfunction yes, Duck no. It's the difference between getting out of a trap and not encountering the trap in the first place.

I found this from the rules.

Isn't Duck! the case that a trap doesn't affect me?? Or was there an update in the rules that rephrases it more appropriately??

Does the player who encounters the trap instead of me, because of the Duck! card, get a DxM card if he dodges it?

Duck makes it so you never encounter the Trap at all, which means that it doesn't have the chance to affect you or not. The player who gets hit with it instead can draw a DxM if he can evade the Trap.
