Rounding: 1.5 Times Strength or Unready Weapons
Now, I'm looking at the DFRPG Adventurers book and thinking of Gath of Baal and his horned helmet and two-handed great axe from the old Death Dealer novels (that I wish they'd release on Kindle, but that's another matter).
In the DFRPG, it seems that his great axe requires a 12 strength to wield properly and an 18 strength to wield without it becoming unready after attacking (just like was mentioned in I think the first fight at the bridge in Book 1 of the series). The 1.5 rule is clear cut for weapons with an even strength requirement. But, what about those with an odd requirement (like 11)? Would an 11 round to 16 or 17? I lean toward 17 as it is more of a cost paid to gain the benefit, so rounding up is more appropriate. How is this normally handled? |

no worries, happens to all of us sometimes, there's a lot of material there.
