Rolls on Calamity table for Threshold limited magic (Thaumathology) are explicitly disallowed to be affected by Luck. And there is specific explanation for it. Mainly, this is some sort of external cosmic affliction.

Yeah. In a certain sense, the universe really is out to get you at that moment. And luck can't tell the universe what to do.

One really big game-level reason for not letting luck advantages affect rolls on those sorts of tables is that some results on such tables are downright beneficial, or at least pretty harmless. Letting people push towards those results, or even dictate them with Super Luck, can literally turn a tendency towards critical failures and the like from a serious problem into a powerful advantage.
