No, I wouldn't say that. The possessions worn or held of the person who makes the Phantom solid would interact with it as if it was solid. (For same reason spells cast on those possessions get to be resisted by the person.)

That is a really neat idea, and an interesting take on the spell. I'll have to think it over.

Hmm. Say Buddy is holding a feather. A Phantom with a sword runs up and cuts the feather. Buddy is convinced by the apparition and so he sees and believes the feather is cut.

Two seconds later, the Phantom is dispelled.

One minute later, Pally arrives on the scene. Does he find the feather cut or intact?

Cut. As far as Buddy and anything he is carrying is concerned, the Phantom is solid. That's what the apportation component is for. But if Buddy took a deep breath and blew the feather toward the Phantom, it would pass right through the illusion.

Why would it do that if the phantom affects him as though it were solid?

The feather is separate from him when he lets it go so the phantom stops being solid for it.

This makes no sense. Going by this logic, if Buddy observes the Phantom plant a bomb, and then they both leave, the bomb would injury Pally when he arrives even though he has never seen the Phantom and never failed an IQ contest.

The Phantom can't plant a bomb. It can't move real things and it can't leave unreal things behind.

If it can cut a feather, why can't it deposit a bomb?

So you think if Buddy stabbed the phantom with a knife it would take damage, but if he threw the knife at the phantom it would pass through?
