Default (AtE) First-Aid Kit House Rule

I've been toying with some ideas for how I could abstract out the depletion of a first-aid kit do to it's consumables being used. It would be pretty tedious to keep track of every little dodad in the bag.

The latest solution I've had is to treat the kit like a body and it's usages like Hit points. Figure the HP from the weight of the kit, so a 10 lb crash kit has 4 HP. Then as you use the kit subtract the HP, when you get into negatives roll the kits HT to avoid "death", and just use the thresholds like you would a human ignoring blood loss and stunning. At -HP×5 the kit is automatically used up.
