Marvel/XMen: Two Questions

We've recently combined the decks for Marvel Munchkin madness.

Question 1: Can you use Klaw's Sonic Blaster ability/other similar(use this card to escape any one monster) on another player to force that player out of combat?

Question 2: If you have a power/ability that states: "You are immune to traps that cause you to lose a level" but a trap is played that tells you to lose a power And a level, would the entire trap be negated or just the portion of the trap you are immune to?
