Munchkin marvel: multiple allies

Hey short question, if i have one ally (or my current maximum allies) and i get a cosmo the spacedog or a nova, can i still play them or do i have to discard one to make room, even if i have enough ally room to keep one.

Official Rulings appear to have been somewhat inconsistent on these types of interactions so I'd be interested in a revisit as well.

I think I was being harsh in the second thread. If you have an Ally that says you may have an additional Ally, you MAY play it even if you already have one Ally. Ignore any rulings I may have made to the contrary.
