I just found this (Elv's Wealth house rules) through the thread RPK linked to up there; looks nice - sweet and simple (intended for 3e): http://www.elvwood.org/Gurps/TimeAndMoney.html

You could just take the progression in here (×2, ×5, ×10, ×20, ×50, ×100, etc.) - the standard GURPS "x2" progression - and tack it onto the current amount GURPS gives you for trading a CP for cash (which varies by TL). 1 CP = whatever the table says, 2 CP = twice that... then it gets semi-geometric, with further points giving you more and more back per point. I'm just spitballing from what I just read, haven't thought it through at all, but it's the simplest patch imaginable if you don't want a linear progression.
