[Roll20] Roll20 GCS importer!
New Roll20 Sheet with GCS/GCA Import
For those GURPS players out there who are aware of GURPS Character Sheet and Roll20, transposing data from those sheets to Roll20 can be a real task. I've made my own version of the Roll20 community GURPS sheet which can now import files from GCS. In addition to this, I have made some bug fixes to the community GURPS sheet as well. Right now the sheet is a bit ugly, but I'll worry about making it prettier later. I made this to assist with a campaign I'm running, but I figured I'd make it available to everyone. I learned a minimal amount of Javascript and HTML to figure out how to get this all together. I'm not a coder by any stretch of the imagination. If anyone can help contribute to this project and help manage my ugly, ugly code, it would be massively appreciated! I hope other people find this useful. For more details and downloads, visit the Roll20 Thread. |

Re: [Roll20] Roll20 GCS importer!
I hope this gets put into the core character sheets on roll20. The existing ones are buggier than a zoo's insect enclosures, and the features that do work almost always require a pro subscription to use because of how they're coded.

Re: [Roll20] Roll20 GCS importer!
As of right now, this requires a pro roll20 subscription to use.
If there's enough interest in it, and I can find someone to help maintain it, I'll submit it for admission into the official sheets list so everyone can access it. To that end, if anyone here is more competent with javascript/html than me, it would be great to figure out how to get this hosted by roll20 so that everyone can use it. Next up is making it correctly sort advantages/disadvantages, and import weapons/attacks. |

Re: [Roll20] Roll20 GCS importer!
I don't use GCS, but I do use Roll20 and am the author of the Ubiquity/Hollow Earth Expedition character sheet there so I can imagine that his took some doing. Well done!
I'd love to clean up the GURPS sheets. They're pretty much unusable to me, but I've also seen the JS/HTML/CSS for those and it's admittedly terrifying even though I do that kind of stuff as part of my day job. The R20 "dev environment" is also horrendous. I've even thought of making a GURPS Lite sheet that's much, um, lighter than the others, but R20 will probably reject that idea and I no longer have my pro subscription anyway. |

You are awesome. (I haven't actually tried it yet, but you are still awesome.) Thanks so much.

Re: [Roll20] Roll20 GCS importer!
Work as advertised on my first try.
I used it to go from GCS to Roll20. I had some Advantage/Disadvantage and Skill containers is my GCS that, when ported into my Roll20 character, messed up point totals. But, it was trivial to delete them; and when I did, a perfect Roll20 character sheet. Thank you!!!

I didn't notice this before, or forgot about it, so thanks for bumping it!

Re: [Roll20] Roll20 GCS importer!
Actually, now that I'm going over it. It put both advantages and disadvantages in the "ADVANTAGES" listing. It also didn't track my Control Ratings (CR column empty).
Otherwise, still a massive time saver.
