Default Fast Regeneration as Gadget

Hello everybody.

Is it possible build a gadget like a syringe or applicator device to activate Fast Regeneration during a time?

How does It?

A figured out something like:
Portable Regeneration Device (-80%): Fast Regeneration (Gadget, SM0, Can Be Stolen, -35%; Blood Agent, -40%; Limited use, 10x per day, -10%)

I`m not feeling that it is ok.

Any help?

Not all Limitations apply in all cases. Blood Agent is -40% because in combat it is hard to achieve they try to avoid it, in healing someone let me inject you so you heal gets their cooperation. The others seem reasonable.

Yeah, that one I might lower to -20%, because it's still a hassle in combat and emergencies, but since it'll find a lot of use in non-emergency situations it's not as limiting.

I'd personally use Ultra-Tech Drugs (p. B425) and build it using those rules instead of a gadget. I'm pretty against paying character points for things are gear in most instances, but that is besides the point. I highly suggest using those rules. It'll get you where you want to go.

As a GM, I'd not even allow that. perhaps a -10%, but blood agent is generally meant for offensive abilities aimed at others, not yourself.

Your gadget build is both illegal and ambiguous. SM only applies if it has the "Breakable" limitation, And I'm not sure what category of "Can be Stolen" you are using. You should check if you really want a SM+0 gadget though. That's the size of a person, and is more appropriate for a coffin or a suit of armor than a syringe.

My build would be:

Regeneration (Very Fast) (Gadget: syringe, can be stolen by Quick contest -30%, breakable DR 2, SM-8 -25%, nuisance effect: must draw blood -5%, Limited use, x10 per day -10%,)[30]

The technique for stealing the syringe is weird, because you don't keep it exposed during use, only when you start the trigger. A case can be made that it should be stolen via stealth or trickery, not quick contests.

The way you'd do an injector is Affliction (Advantage: Fast Regeneration +1,000%), and the limitations apply to the Affliction, not to the Regeneration. Final cost is 102.

That's a syringe the size of a human being. Blood Agent is illegitimate for an advantage that isn't an attack. "Requires contact with bare skin" would barely be a 10% against a person who wants to be injected.

Then you'd be way better off using a 'magic ring' instead, even though such a build should be more expensive since it's less cumbersome.

I would build what the OP is looking for like this:

Regeneration, Fast (50, Limited Use (10/day) -10%, Stealable (stealth or trickery) -20%, SM -9, Breakable (DR5) -15%, Accessibility (requires activatation) -10%, Nuisance (must puncture skin) -5%, Net -50%) [25]

Ediit: Further to the excellent point made by Sunrunnner's Fire in post #12, I would remove Limited Use and instead put in Maximum Duration (1hr), -10%.

The magic ring can only work for one person at a time, the injector can work simultaneously on ten people (actions to apply, of course).

I will read more the rules I miss understood the SM.
Since the beginig I was feeling made mistake, but I could where.
