Default GEV Escort -- Scenario Book 3

So yesterday we had our Monday Ogre game after a several week break, and this time we played 'GEV Escort' twice. As usual, our normal process is to flip sides between games, and play each scenario twice. We played both games with a Mk. III and the optional D2 hardened CP; as well as using the excellent minis from Set #1.

I was the attacker in Game 1, and managed to wipe out all the INF, destroy the CP, and get a few hexes away from the rubble of the CP before I lost all my treads; for a Marginal Ogre Victory. Sadly, no GEVs survived from the attacking force. I might have done better if I had remembered that the Ogre has AP guns earlier, but not much better. I wasn't getting off the map anyway.

In Game 2, we switched, and my opponent took an odd attack route (the long way), meaning I had far more time to shoot at him along the way. In that game, the valiant PE defenders managed to remove all the treads, the MB, and stop the Ogre a good 10 hexes before the CP was in any danger. The poor NAC GEVs only made it halfway across the board, as well.
To cap it off, the PE forces still had 32 attack points left, so that made for a Complete Defense Victory.

A few notes. Each game we took two HOW placed so as to guard the CP, they only did any damage in the second game. We also used two squad units of INF for the most part.

Once again, my thanks to SJG for a great game, and a great scenario. Due to schedule conflicts, our next game won't be until June 11th.
