Combining the core GURPS PDFs into one?
Has there ever been any thought to combining the two core book PDFs into one document, such that you can use "go to page" functions without having to have two documents open?
I would think it would be easy to just tack on Campaigns to the end of Characters. |

I have used PDFSam to put some of my pdfs together.

I did it in Preview for Mac OS. Just a matter of copying the pages from Campaigns and adding them to Characters.

Took a few tries, but managed to do it.
Still think it would be good official idea, but not in the sense I expect anyone at SJ to do it. |

While there may be exceptions, I would not expect a viewing program to have significantly more trouble with two open PDFs than having one open PDF that's twice the size. The main drawbacks are that searching and hotlinks won't work cross-volume, and simply gluing two PDFs together won't solve the second problem.

Searching works in multiple volumes in most pdf readers now, I think. Acrobat definitely can.

I combined mine for exactly that reason. I only open one Basic Set PDF when I need it.
Having more open doesn't hinder me though, I typically, at least when character building, will have three or more open. |
