Default Revivified Malefactor (Steampunk) and FAQ

A. Yes. Cards trump rules. (See Important Note #0.)
Card say: MAY be played to replace any monster. FAQ is contradict cards text. If I use Undead rule, so I dont use monster ability. If I use monster ability, so I don't need to use Undead rule, I can replace any monster.
If FAQ is right, then if I use Wandering Monster to add Revivified Malefactor in combat, it still replace a monster?

Default Re: Revivified Malefactor and FAQ

The FAQ is wrong and I'll send a note to have it corrected.

If you add the Revivified Malefactor to a fight using the Undead rule or a Wandering Monster card (or other similar effect), it joins the fight; it does not replace the existing monster. It only replaces a monster when you use the special rule on the card allowing you to do so.
