Re: Creating Military Culture From Scratch
I am a number to the government. I am a number to any given corporation. If say, Obama wanted me for slave labor to build a glorious pyrimid to bury him in filled with labyrinthine passages, deathtraps and treasure then said objectification would harm me. However even his harshest critics have not imputed such ambitions.

In a phalanx the only purpose of officers would be as traffic directors. Tactics were just to simple.

Re: Creating Military Culture From Scratch
Shouldn't you have stories to go with it? For instance when Sikhs decided to turn into a Proud Warrior Race by virtue of having an uncomfortable number of proud warrior races around them, the guru asked his followers if they were prepared to die. Five stood up. He took each of them, one by one and came back with a bloody sword. After all this was done he came back with all five safe and sound and revealed that it had been a goat. Another episode in the initiation had something to do with candy made by the guru's wife. I forget that story.
