True. The question would then be, "would the Terminator get a bonus if he picked up a roll of quarters?" I would say, no. His fist is already benifiting from any additional bonus a roll of quarters would give him. So yes I do think he should have a similar perk. I will look up improvised weapons when I get home for the damage bonus. In the large scale it will not make a very big difference, but it does make the Terminator a bit more dangerous in close combat.

Yep. The numbers should all still be correct. I just need to change HT to HP. Thank you.

You are not misremembering. His hand was covered in blood, but I am giving this over to cinimatic license. If useing the bleeding rules the punk will be dead very shortly (and as I have been reminded many times on the forum, most people die of bleed-out not direct damage.)

Thank you very much. I love all the comments I am getting! It really makes me think about the rules, and how they apply to fun and creative games.

See, I got a completely different impression of the terminator's actions in that scene. I thought the terminator punched into the punk's abdomen just below the sternum, and ripped his heart out. That allowed him to make the successful intimidation attack on the others.

Yeah, I think he DID rip his heart out! How is this handled in GURPS, anyways?

But as for why I bumped this topic: I was curious as to the amount of DR a standard T-800/850 has.

You have Ultra-tech? Check out the combat androids in there. Probably the closest analog. My books are still in storage, unfortunately.

I've previously treated it as a special effect of killing someone with a Lethal Strike punch to the Vitals.

I wonder if there's a way for a character that's strong enough to opt straight for the heart rip?

That's what I'm talking about. In my game the character who was doing this was a super martial artist with a ST of 40. As his average damage for this would be 18.5, which would then multiply to 55.5, I figured this description was pretty fair.
What else do you want from it, mechanically?
