Default Floating Nose bribe

Player A of level 1 faces Floating Nose. He has no items to bribe this Monster.
He asks for help of Player B of level 6 and bonuses 4. So their total strength become 11. They say that they have advantage of +1.
Player C is Theif. He puts off a card to shrink power of Player A and Player B to 9.
May Player B use his (or her) item to bribe Floating Nose?

Thank You for answer.

Ok.
I will try to explain.
For example we have Golem of level 14 (AFAIR). Player can avoid fight with him but at other hand player can fight if he wants. He should just make decision.
I suppose situation with Floting Nose is the same: player can put off item with proce 200 golds or higher and avoid fight. Otherwise he decides to fight and he is not allowed to bribe Floating Nose after this decision.

Thank You very much in advance!!!

I have to type at least 10 characters to post it.

Other cards (Wizard, for example) aren't quite so strictly worded, so yes, a Wizard helper can charm, but he can't offer up some loot to the Floating Nose.

The helper may not choose to bribe the Floating Nose unilaterally, but may offer one of his Items as a bribe if he chooses. The main player decides whether or not to accept the offer.

Thank You for answers, guys!
Andrew, but what do You think about the case described by me? Regarding to MunchkinMan's answer Players A and B are not allowed to bribe Floating Nose.
Thanks!

Floating Nose may be bribed at any point during the fight.
