Geek Culture
Is it permanently down, or just undergoing repairs?
I read the note from Andrew Hackard but that has disappeared for me so I can't check if he said something on the matter there. |

Re: Geek Culture
The note is stickied until 21/3/2020, but I don't know if that is an accurate end date.

Re: Geek Culture
Is it coming back?
There was some fun stuff in 'Geek Culture' that often overlapped the gaming topics. - Ed C.

Re: Geek Culture
When GenChat was closed, management was straightforward about it. I expect that if they intended to permanently close Geek Culture, management would be similarly straightforward about it.

Re: Geek Culture
Sorry, y'all -- the past couple of weeks have been busier than we expected, preparing for two simultaneous trade shows plus the usual run of games and such to send to our manufacturer and several people out for illness. We're still working on this and should have news in a week or so.

Re: Geek Culture
Geek Culture has been reopened. Please don’t treat it as a free-for-all — if your topic isn’t something that would be considered “geeky” by most people, find somewhere else to discuss it.
And if you’re a jerk in that forum, be ready to lose posting privileges to it. That’s supposed to be a fun diversion, not a war zone.

Re: Geek Culture
Can the one ask if this closure was a technical problem or an administrative decision? (Understanding that "None of your business." is a valid answer.)

Re: Geek Culture
How broad is the definition of "geeky"? As far as I can see people can geek out about just about anything. Knitting, knives, fountain pens, travel, comics, games, various sports...
