Tyrants, Cheaters and Holy Warriors!
Does a Munchkin Warrior, who gets +1 for every card he discards during combat, who is wearing Holy Rollers, which gives him +3 for every card he discards during combat against Undead Monsters get a +4 against Undead, for every card he discards up to three cards max?
I would say yes, because 1) The Munchkin is only getting the +4 advantage against Undead. 2) Holy Rollers are an item that gives a limited ability to a class other than Cleric. 3) This kind of thinking is the foundation of being a Munchkin! I was told by another player that you can only choose one or the other bonus. |

Think of it this way: At the convenience store, a king-size candy bar costs $1.00. A soda also costs $1.00. There are no sales going on, and you have no special coupons. If you only give the clerk 1 dollar, you do not get the soda and the candy. You would have to spend $2 to get both. |

A discarded card can only be used to activate a single ability.
As that player discards each card he would have to specify which ability that card is being applied to. |

Re: Tyrants, Cheaters and Holy Warriors!
I see this as a question of say RPGing … as in: A 3-3.5 D&D Ranger can have a Favored Enemy and also he can there is a weapon that has a Bane-type to it. Do you void the Ranger’s bonus just because he uses a weapon with the same creature type as the weapon’s bonus? No.
As for one card for one ability,… I don’t see how it is a particularly “different” ability. It’s an attack and again this is limited to ONE-type of creature, it’s not as if it is a plus 4 to every monster. So, basically… it’s 6 cards for +12 against an undead? |

True
Q. Do combat bonuses that monsters receive against Races or Classes stack? For example, if a monster gets +4 against Dwarves and +4 against Elves and I'm a half-Dwarf/half-Elf, does that monster get +8 in combat against me? A. Unless it says otherwise on the card itself, monster combat bonuses do stack. This means that the above monster would be a +8. (Fair warning: this is a change from previous discussions, but it IS the official ruling henceforth.) And that is Munchkin ... so, I don't see the big issue with my theory. |

Re: Tyrants, Cheaters and Holy Warriors!
The difference is that the Monsters don't have to PAY for their bonuses. In your example, the player DOES. The player's bonuses CAN stack (he CAN use both of them at the same time) but he still has to pay the specified cost for each ability.

One discard cannot power two abilities at once. That's the official ruling.
