Signed t shirt question

Had a player at a recent con ask this question. She has some signed shirts, and wanted to know if the signature bonuses we're still valid if she had the signatures gone over in embroidery, so that she could wash the shirts without fear of losing the autographs.

I originally said yes, but embroidery can be duplicated, so I think I have to say no. The intent is that you actually went to the trouble to have someone sign the shirt for you, and you need to be able to show the evidence that it happened.
