Re: [New Release] Pyramid #3/50: Dungeon Fantasy II
I'm very impressed by this issue. It seems to have something for everyone, and addresses some things that have come up in the forums, such as certain people's desire for 'races as classes', and (perhaps?) concerns I raised about a Demonologist who didn't feel useful due to a limited spell list.
So that I can make use of the entire issue I may need to break down and pick up Pyramid #10 (I think) for the Justicar, #47 for the Monster Slaver and DF #14 for the Mentalist. Oh, and DF Monsters I. I've fallen behind a bit. I regretted picking up Pyramid #46, but this issue does not disappoint at all.

Re: [New Release] Pyramid #3/50: Dungeon Fantasy II
Anyway . . . why is anybody even debating the race/class point? My words in the article are these:
At the dawn of tabletop RPGs, "race" and "class" weren't separate concepts, selected independently of one another.Whether you want to call it 1977 or 1974, that's still "the dawn of RPGs." I specifically didn't say, "In the very first RPG ever" or "In the RPG we know today as D&D." And for good reason, I should add. :P If you want to pick nits, pick on the fact that "justiciar" is misspelled "justicar" in three places. ;)

Clearly, the snow-ninjas use the animated snowmen as guards and shock troops.
You know, I should have worked in a line in the article about the best way to destroy the snowmen's hats being with a holy chakram . . .

But even better is Sninjas FROM HELL! lol sorry i couldn't resist I really love this issue. It gives a bit of flare and while i am not running a DF right now more a Men in Black Sci-Fi type campaign.... picture it you come into the office and standing guard over the door is two Yeti, when you take that trip across the universe to save it.... and you encounter Abdominal Snowmen form HELL.... now that gets interesting.
