That's quite brilliant, you know. Keeps it really simple and uses a common mechanic to accomplish the objective. I love it!

Personally I don't much like using hits stopped to model things that it seems to me would instead reduce the chance of being meaningfully hit (e.g. being a skeleton, off-hand weapon "parry", or shields), but I'm spoiled by GURPS.
