Default Revealing Costume

Question:

Shouldn't the Revealing Costume (of Munchkin Blender) be an _Armor_ card?

After all, how _revealing_ is it if the Munchkin that wears it also has Mithiril Armor or Battle Armor?

Answer to that one: you can't see nothin'!!!!

So, reason states that the Revaling Costume should count as an Armor Card, not compatible with other Armor unless you Cheat, use combinable armor (Raincoat, Silk Armor etc.) or wear the Claatu Barada Necktie!

Comments (preferably from someone at sjgames)?

Why should it be Armor? The intent of the card is to indicate that whatever you are wearing is revealing. If you think that it's not possible for armor to be revealing you:
  1. have no imagination, or
  2. have not watched much television or movies, or
  3. haven't looked at any art by Boris Vallejo (as one example) or the covers of many a cheap fantasy book (say, Chicks in Chainmail).

Aha!

I thought that the revealing costume was a _costume_ (=an item), not a armor condition!

So, whatever armor I wear, with the card, it's a revealing <whatever>!

Just checking:
And if I don't wear any armor, then I wear revealing clothes?

It is more of a character state than an armor state, so yes if you have no armor, your clothes are revealing.

Yes, it is clothing. Barely.

For its other ability involving sex change, is the increase to its bonus a one time effect or does it count for each sex change?

For example, you get hit with a sex change curse and get hit by another later. Turning your original +3 to a +4 to a +5.

I'm mostly asking because I can see this card becoming incredibly overpowered when paired with the Freudian Slippers. You can pretty much boost the power of Revealing Costume endlessly with none of the penalties a sex change will normally give. I need to know so I can be sure if I can group these two into the same deck or not. For fairness's sake.

This is covered in the FAQ:

A. No. The "change" caused by Freudian Slippers is not an actual sex change for the purposes of cards such as the Revealing Costume. However, if you lose the Slippers and the last sex you declared yourself is different from the sex you were prior to putting on the Slippers, that change will count and add to the Revealing Costume bonus.
