As a GM, I dont really need fully fleshed out characters since I never use points to build NPCs and I am not sure how much of this the players would use, except as examples of characters (or maybe a quick one-shot).
Dont get me wrong, I am not trying to rain on your parade and it sounds like I am in the minority here. Heck, I'll even contribute some 1920s Government Agents who stalk the night fantastic from Team Chicago if my players allow it (my current, ongoing Bureau 13 campaign). I'm just saying I would love an NPC gallery with maybe a few monsters and basic stats of bad guys; not a full fledged character. Or better yet, maybe some home made critters in a simple "Creatures of the Night" style - simple with a few adventure seeds. I can come up with a few. On that note, there was a compilation of forum created critters called "It came from the Forums" or something like that that was REALLY good. Anyways, that may not be what your looking for. I would like to help, though (I have already created several 1920s 4e Vehicles). |

Thanks for your feedback. I think it's important to note that there is interest in a PC archive as well as a NPC archive of characters as well as monsters or critters. I think it's worthwhile to have all on a website, so long as they are easily distinguished from one another.

Hi,
even if you don't routinely stat your antagonist (which is awful when not using a character builder program), I find the idea extremely useful. * To get ideas for my own characters or antagonsts. * To quickly have a pc/npc available when you ad-hoc design a ones-shot. It's also a perfect way of showing the flexibility and easyness of GURPS. Especially for new players. Once I've seen what's possible with this system, I would like to play around with it and modify characters. GURPS may seem intimidating at first and to see examples might make it look easier. Some people learn better by examples. And btw: A companion for this, a monster compendium would be also very great. Something along 'it came from the forums', but searchable on a website. Thanks

TheThingFromOuterSpace, I would definitely like to have a "Beast" archive as well as a "Character" archive. As long as the website is categorized properly I don't see a reason why I could not do both on the same site.
As far as the GURPS Wikia, this is exactly what I don't want the site to become. Only 44 pages in over 2 years, boring....I'd hope our Character Archive would have hundreds of characters available freely for everyone. It all depends on us! How many characters can we make and post? :-) @everyone, I've stared making the site already. It's coming along nicely. I will post more info next week. |

Wow, this should actually be very cool resource! Nothing to upload now, as I am still working on my first GURPS campaign, but I will definitely put up something when I can.
Also, it's fun looking at the type of characters other people make, even if I don't need them for a specific adventure. Edit: I just also would like to add my support to the idea of a monster section.
