Mage build threads?
Hey there folks!
I am working on a mage for a fantasy setting. Campaign background: TL3 Heavy skill use (all kinds) Heavy, above average lethality (even for GURPS) combat. Human stat cap 14. Humans are 250. Mages or supernatural PCs are 200 (essentially 50 pt Unusual Background w/o the points). I was debating on a support generalist...esp since the PC roster is not consistent...but was thinking I should up his game a bit. Creation, Movement, Light (for invis, sunbolt, and darkvision), Plant, Food, etc... I figure rather than reinventing the wheel I could look at other folks builds. Is there a few threads anyone would be kind enough to direct me to? Thanks!

You can build a decent mage for 150 pts pretty easily, so getting a quality mage with 200 pts shouldn't be a problem. IQ 14 and Magery 3 will use up 115 of those points, but it will allow you to cast spells at skill 15 for minimal points.
Using the search engine and typing in 'mage' or 'mages' should lead to some useful threads. There are a few general character threads that have magic users buried in them too. |
