Out of interest why have they stopped putting breakdown of articles in pyramid in w23?

It makes it much more difficult to wotk out what is in there and is affecting if I buy the issue, rhere was a time when I would pick up two or three issues while researching a campaign as I would find articles of interest, I don't see that happening with the new format

What do you mean by breakdown?
The Announcement and discussion threads do that nicely IMHO.
Also the Pyramid Index threads at least give the article titles so you can more easily find something of interest.

Oh just realized your meaning on the W23 description page?
Maybe the last few just have not been so easy to break down.

The actual information in w23 used to be exactly like tge announcements thread, which was great if you're looking at back issues, or following the link from the new releases link, now I have to scroll through the forums to find if I want the issue.

SJ Games has always been the benchmark of well thought out editing and ease of navigation, this feels like a step backwards

Have you tried downloading the preview files? Those typically contain the "In This Issue" section, which gives a brief breakdown of all the articles in the issue.

That's great when the issue is just out, but what about back issues? Seems odd as they have already done the work for the forums

The preview is available for back issues as well, as far as I can tell.

The Volume 3 index is right over here in the Pyramid forum...

That should save you scrolling through this forum at least. Though it occurs to me that it would be handy of that thread had links to the threads posted over here...

I also preferred the old way of doing it. Downloading PDF previews is added effort when I'm window shopping. Looks like the last issue to have a full list of articles was Pyramid #3/93: Cops and Lawyers back in July of 2016.

The topic, however, is moot due to today's disheartening announcement about the demise of Pyramid at the end of the year.
