[Powers] Basic Lift-based carrying capacity to fixed number
Working on a character for an upcoming game, who will have Permeation with Can Carry Objects and gadget limitations-basically she will have a small magical device that lets her swim through rock.
However, it strikes me that Can Carry Objects is based on basic lift. Is there a canon way to shift it to a fixed amount of mass? Doing so would give a stronger justification for some things in-universe, specifically why such gear is given to a slender anime woman instead of a more traditional special ops soldier (she is part of a special ops unit). I'm familiar with Telekinetic Carrying Capacity, but I don't know if there's anything like that to make it just numbers. Similarly, is there a case where Carrying Capacity for these sorts of advantages is impacted by Fat, Skinny, etc? |

It can be a 0-point special effect to shift it to a flat BL 20 lbs., as long as the GM approves. That way No Encumbrance = 20 lbs., Light Encumbrance = 40 lbs., and so on.

There is also Mental Carrying Capacity, which works by figuring Basic Lift from Will rather than ST. That's a +20% enhancement on Warp, same as Telekinetic Carrying Capacity. See GURPS Supers.
