GURPS101: Evaluate As a Skill Roll

I've been gone for a while thanks to a fun a fun back injury (Evaluated my back and then Attacked - I never saw it coming). But while I was laid up I got to thinking (a dangerous pastime) because even if I'm in pain and my body don't work that don't mean my brain ain't going on all cylinders. So I says "Brain, how would we handle a Evaluate maneuver like the treacherous door did to us?" and my brain says "Well, hell, I don't know...a f*cking skill roll?" and I says "Damn, that ain't bad." and my brain says "Well, duh, I'm the part that thinks and your just the writer-guy." so of course my imagination got uppity...and this is what came out. The Evaluate maneuver as a skill roll...

Neat, I like the idea of it as a skill roll!

The Attribute+X progression and the accompanying chart? Not quite so much.

So, hmmm, I think I will give 'Roll vs the relevant skill, +1 for evaluate if make it, +1 for every Rcl of 3 extra hit you would get'

I'm cool with the idea of floating to Per, but, I think IQ would seem more appropriate, so I will let it Float to IQ also

I'm dubious I will see any of my players actually use this, but who knows!

So I do, so I do!

I just like trying to give feedback on what ideas inspire ideas for hopeful future discussions or whatever and all! Not trying to pan your ideas, you've certainly had cooler ones than I've ever had (if it wasn't for your and Doug's recent posts, I probably wouldn't have remembered Evaluate if someone asked me to name all the GURPS manuevers!)

Sides, I like this thread, so posting my comments moves it to the top for more people to see it and reply to it! (mods, this is a joke, please don't smite me!)
