And I thought that the various prestige classes (e.g., Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil, Complete Arcane, pg. 44--riffing off of the Prismatic Sphere & Prismatic Wall spells, a master of abjuration/defensive spells and wards) would make good inspirations for various RPM styles.

Well, if you're going to take suggestions for an RPM style, I'll toss out 'Demonology' (I'm in the process of creating a spell list for just such a character right now, and seeing what you'd do would be nice) - though I'd still like to see what types of spells you think it's most important for any RPM mage to be able to cast well.

Funny you should say that - I'm actually working on that for my campaign. One of the characters is a exorcist of unparalleled ability. I'll put it on the list and polish it up.

Since I've gotten a bunch of emails and PMs asking where I am - I twisted my back up bad last week. So bad that I was in bed for over four days. I'm doing better, but I'm still in a lot of pain and I've decided to take a break until I can get over it. Thanks for all the concerns, I've got a ton of ideas brewing (and I'm making note of them) and hopefully I'll be on the mend soon.
